For all those who have contacted me regarding the next litter, to date it is still unsure. Alexandria should be the next gal to go into season. Only time and nature knows when tho. I have placed all inquiries on my “contact” list. Be sure to leave a cell phone or land line number also please. Emails sometimes change.

Also I haven’t figured out how to place photos on this site yet. So please feel free to check out all of the puppies and my Sire and Dam’s photos on Facebook.com. It is a public site, just look for Ozark Bullmastiffs and my grandson holding a puppy.

Ozarks Tallulah Belle of the Ball

Tallulah

Lisa, in Florida, is working with a 4 month old Brindle female out of PattyAnn and Bozwell from the Ozark Bullmastiff’s clan. She is turning out to be one of Ozark Bullmastiff’s finest. Lisa registered her beautiful Brindle female as “Ozarks Tallulah Belle of the Ball”. Tallulah is attending Basic Obedience and Handling Classes and doing just great. She is in training to be shown.

Today was a big event for Ozarks Tallulah. She went to a Senior Day Care Center and visited with 19 Seniors and 4 staff members. Her owner and I quote says: “We handed out pictures of Tallulah to all. We told the seniors about Tallulah’s parents, how wonderful you are, how she flew into Manchester airport in a crate that she would never get into now, how many were in her litter, etc. The people thoroughly enjoyed her visit and cherished her picture.”

I think Tallulah and Tallulah’s master Lisa are doing great things to promote this wonderful gentle breed. I look forward to watching her accomplishments as time goes on and posting her progress.

Bullmastiff Tip, Have Benadryl on hand!

Did you ever consider what you would do if Fido gets stung by a bee or spider?

It started last night with my Bullmastiffs eyes, couldn’t figure it out at first. Her eyes swelled shut, checked for an object in her eyes, but then within the hour her checks puffed out. Before long her whole face looked like something out of a bad horror movie. She pawed her eyes, rubbing the floor, furniture, walls, other Bullmastiffs, anything trying desperately to see and get relief. I finally realized she was stung by something. We will never know what but luckily I knew what to do for relief. Bendadryl to the rescue. Luckily I had enough Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) on hand for her size. I did try ice, she seemed to like that as long as she would stay still. Once the Bendaryl kicked in she was able to sleep about 5 hours. Normally it should give relief for 4-6 hours. It is an OTC antihistamine, used to treat allergic reactions in humans and canine animals. The majority of vets permit the use of Benadryl on dogs and cats. Check with your vet for the proper dosage before administering it. I live on a farm in the country so from now on I will always have it in the medicine cabinet and my glove box in the truck!

Puppies take a romp in the Spring like weather.

Valentines Day, sunny and 60 degrees, what more could you want! Puppies enjoyed fun and frolic in the fields again. I can’t believe how fast they are growing. Healthy, happy Bullmastiff pups. Still have two sweetie pies looking for homes. Would love to trade blood lines for one. Anyone interested?

Yup, my PattyAnn is a better mouse catcher than my barn cats! She loves to chase and catch mice. Her nose hits the floor and she acts like a blood hound. Only problem is when in pursuit she turns into a small dozer leaving a wake of strewn items in her path!

My puppies love to chew on ice cubes, almost as much as my adult Bullmastiffs. Try adding some chicken broth or flavoring to make it a really special treat!

Gemma & Kassia have completed all their shots. They had their final booster on February 2nd and their Rabies today. In true Bullmastiff temperment they took their shots in stride.
